Penobscot Energy Recovery Company
The PERC facility sits on a 42-acre site and includes several structures, including the Tipping/Processing, Glass/Grit Conveying, Cooling Tower Pumphouse, Lime Slacker, Maintenance and Administration buildings.
General Electric Company was the general contractor, partnering with Sheridan Construction and Butler Heavy Structures for the structural steel, roofing, and wall systems. Construction of the facility was completed in 1988.
