Bangor Air National Guard Hangar

The Bangor Air National Guard’s new hangar earned a LEED Silver rating from the United States Green Building Council. (USGBC). Designed to house the Guard’s KC-135 refueling aircraft, the facility was constructed using a Butler pre-engineered building designed and fabricated in Butler’s Heavy Structures division.  The design called for a 200 foot clear-span structure with sliding aircraft doors with approximately 35,400-square-foot hangar constructed by Sheridan Construction.
