Sheridan Construction Announces New Team Members

Sheridan Construction, Maine’s leading Commercial Butler Builder, is pleased to announce the addition of new team members; Jared Hanson, Robert Lightbody, Stephen McCarron and Josh Veilleux.


Jared started on May 14, 2018, working as an Assistant Project Manager in an internship position. Jared has also worked the three past summers for Sheridan Construction as a laborer and field clerk. Jared attends the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, majoring in Construction Engineering Technology. This experience has certainly giving Jared the real world, hands on experience that is a benefit to him and Sheridan Construction.

Robert, or Bob as he goes by, started on May 14, 2018, as Sheridan’s newest Engineer. Bob attended the University of Maine in Orono and graduated with a B. S. in Construction Management Technology and Minored in Business Administration. He is also a Licensed Professional Engineer with a focus in Construction. With his knowledge and experience in multiple aspects of the construction field, engineering, and design we are looking forward to all that Bob brings to Sheridan Construction.

Stephen McCarron started on May 21, 2018, and has taken on the role of Project Manager. Steve attended Eastern Maine Community College where he graduated first in his class with an Associate’s in Civil Engineering Technology degree. With construction in his background, Steve brings experience and energy to our team and we are looking forward to having him excel at Sheridan.

Josh Veilleux started on May 21, 2018, as Sheridan’s Assistant Safety Director. After high school, Josh served in the US Marine Infantry Unit and was stationed in Hawaii. Josh has spent the majority of the last 17 years serving the local communities as a Police Offer. Attending many leadership, management and performance management training as well as interview an interrogation courses, crisis management courses, crisis intervention training and active shooter training/workplace violence coursed during his time as law enforcement. Safety has many facets but it all starts with a commitment from leadership, Josh is looking forward to developing a training program and working with other managers to continue to keep Sheridan Team Members safe, to return home in the same condition as they came to work in.

With the shortage of skilled construction workers, Sheridan continues to grow their team with the best of the best. “We are excited to welcome our newest hires, their skills and experience will be a great addition to Sheridan,” says President Mitchell P. Sammons.
