Constructed on the museum's 25th anniversity, Owls Head Transportation opened a 21,000 square foot addition in 2000 to house exhibition, education and visitor service needs. The 120 x 175 foot exhibition wing added to the north side of the museum will house ground vehicles and will also act as a function space seating 400. The new wing also adds needed collection storage, new rest rooms and a renovated front entry.
