In 1999 The Sheridan Corporation constructed a new facility for Butler Bros. in Lewiston, Maine. Butler Bros. is a family owned business which was started in 1952. A diversified company, Butler Bros. has three divisions. Its Industrial Supply Division wholesales industrial abrasives, cutting tools, machinery, packaging supplies, industrial workwear and wipers, safety products, etc.. to a wide range of customers in Northern New England.

Their Shoe Products Division supplies components used in the manufacturing of footwear. These items include eyelets, hooks and buckles which are finished to exact customer specifications. Butler Bros. ships these products worldwide and also maintains a warehouse in the Dominican Republic to serve this business group.

The third division is their Rubber Products Division which manufactures and distributes rubber products used worldwide in the computer industry, areospace, industrial matting, footwear and by a myriad of rubber converters.

The new Lewiston expansion will allow them to better serve their customers and meet their projected growth.

The new facility is a 53,900 square foot Butler Building consisting of a 200 by 244 foot warehouse and showroom and a 50 by 102 foot business office.

The 22 foot clear height warehouse will house extensive high rack storage units and there will be a four dock shipping area. The office core includes a product showroom and employee support facilities. The exterior finish is a hunter green steel panel and trims with natural masonry.
