A landmark building for an industry leader.

A leader in the footwear industry with over $1.5 billion in worldwide sales, New Balance has been operating factories in Skowhegan and Norridgewock since the early 1980's. This new facilty is in addition to a third 66,000 square foot factory that opened in Norway, Maine in 1998. In a global economy where quality components come from all over the world, New Balance continues to manufacture a percentage of its shoes in the USA. New Balance has five factories in New England—three in Maine and two in Massachusetts. With a high-quality labor force, unique modular teams that are continually challenged to offer creative alternatives to foreign competition, and the confidence to be different, New Balance is able to survive and thrive, and take a leadership position in an industry that has sent most of its production overseas.

New Balance attributes their success to an ongoing commitment to integrity, teamwork, and total customer satisfaction, a formula that has also guided the Sheridan Corporation since 1947.
