In the winter of 2008 Sheridan completed the construction of Hammond Lumber Company's new facility on the corner of Riverside Street and Warren Avenue in Portland, Maine. This facility, designed by Chris Walsh & Company, includes a 43,600 square foot drive-thru warehouse and a separate 16,300 square foot retail store. This facility is the company's eighth Maine location.

From its humble beginnings in 1953 as a two-man sawmill operation, Hammond Lumber Company has evolved into one of New England's largest independent building material suppliers.
